Welcome to Agrex Australia. We are a grain trading business which was formed in July 2014 as a joint venture between Mitsubishi Corporation and Olam International. Olam was previously trading grain in Australia since 2008 as Queensland Cotton (Grain Division in Melbourne). Agrex Australia holds a 32.5% share in the Newcastle Agri Terminal (NAT) - a new, fast, efficient bulk grain handling terminal which loaded its first vessel in February 2014. Mitsubishi Corporation has been involved in the grain procurement business in Australia for decades through subsidiary feed company Riverina (Australia) Pty Ltd but the acquisition of interests in an export terminal bolsters its capacity to forge a stronger and more stable procurement system in Australia’s competitive grain market.
